*Position: Sr. Network Engineers with TufinLocation: Plano, Texas Duration:
6 months plus extensions *
*Interview: hire off 30 minute PI Thursday and Friday*
*Must haves*
This role is a true Checkpoint Engineer- need to have proven and senior
level skills with Checkpoint rules and managing firewalls.
Tufin is used for reporting and helping create rules- need to have
experience with Tufin orchestration suite
Blue Coat Web Proxy
Client currently is on Checkpoint R75- need to have R75 or at least R65
experience
Experience with advanced rule base design and global objects
Analyze firewall rules to categorize/ prioritize the rules and recommend
remediation action plans based on client application types and Domain
boundary environment
Review TuFin zero-use rules to identify rules that can be removed and work
with the appropriate client teams to get those rules removed
Review TuFin partial- shadows rules and recommend best course of action to
reduce shadowed rules
Review clients server/ systems configuration and make recommendations as to
best locations for each system based on client target state domain boundary
architecture
** Most important aside from technical skill set is communication and
willingness/ability to work well in a small group- this is an Agile
Framework environment where this resource will be heavily involved with
pods, storyboarding, and communicating daily with the team in the agile
infrastructure shop**
*Role*
Provide It network security engineering for new innovations, project
design, and standards development. Ensures adherence to defined Network
engineering processes and identifies and helps influence platforms
strategic direction in coordination with business user’s needs and
directions.
*Responsibilities include*
- Enterprise network security strategy, solutions, and ongoing
technology refreshes and enhancements
- Enterprise network security design standards
- Design reviews and project engineering
- Acquisitions integration of network security services
- Technology integration point with other client engineering
towers to provide strategic solutions
- Feasibility engagements with business groups to ensure
integrated network strategies are incorporated early in the process
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior personnel
- Implement engineering.
