*Role : MySql DBA*
*Work Location: Danbury, CT*
We have an immediate opening for a 6-10 years experience MySQL.
Qualified candidates should have experience with MySQL as well as a strong
DBA background in production database administration including proficiency
in installation, upgrade and configuration of Cluster and non-cluster
databases.
1. Responsible for taking customer calls, presenting MySQL Weekly Status
Report, involved with various meeting with client related to Database
Planning / maintenance / up-gradation / re-org.
2. Responsible for ensuring high availability and optimal performance of
the MySQL databases that support the system.
3. Monitor and maintain the database backups, diagnose and resolve database
backup failures.
4. Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of MySQL Database.
5. Enforce security standards and controls to ensure the integrity and
security of the data resources.
6. Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include
rollout and database upgrades.
7. Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according
to Change management system.
8. Responsible for implementing/monitoring high availability Cluster DB,
Replication and Log Shipping/Data guard.
Experience of managing multiple Prod/Dev/QA RDBMS on large systemsStrong
self-sufficiency and initiative working on Database projects that includes
MySQL database up gradation.
Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high
availability service.
Experience of Creating the database, tablespaces, users, data objects, and
granting access privileges.
Managing Physical and Logical Database Structure.
Practical experience in monitoring CPU Utilization, Index rebuilding,
Gather Statistics, Optimizers, Hints etc.
Hands on experience and good knowledge in performing export, import to
reorganize the Database Backup & Recovery through third party or cron job..
Client Environnent:1. MySQL 5.4, 5.5, 5.62. AIX, Linux, Solaris, Windows3.
Change Control SystemKey skills required: (in the order of priority)1)
MySQL 2) Database tuning
