*Job Title : QA Automation Engineer with
Java Exp*
*Location : Providence, RI*
*Duration : **6-9 months*
A large public sector infrastructure project is seeking a skilled,
experience Test Automation Engineer to join its onshore team. This role is
a great opportunity for a motivated self-starter looking to grow his or her
skillset while making a tangible, impactful contribution to test automation
tools, processes, procedures and best practice on an important program with
an international footprint.
Required Skills:
-5 years of experience working in a software development / software test
environment.
-2 or more years’ experience in test automation, with at least one year of
that experience in a Unix Web/database/application server-side
browser-based application environment.
-Knowledge of and experience with industry leading test automation tools
and best practice.
-Familiarity of the underlying architecture of a multi-tier browser-based
application is required, including operating systems, servers, networking,
clients, and browsers.
-Programming, system administration, or database administration experience
is a plus.
-Superior verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to interpret and document detailed technical information.
-Experience with defect management/reporting tools and processes.
-Experience with test planning, development and management tools and
processes.
The following technical skills are required:
-Java (mandatory)
-Javascript (mandatory)
-HTML/CSS (mandatory)
-Selenium (mandatory)
-SOAP UI (desirable)
Responsibilities:
Participate in a requirements-based test automation toolset review and
provide recommendations on toolset replacement or improvement.
Work with offshore teams to develop a program-wide test automation
framework and architecture.
Develop and execute automated tests using the selected tool
Effectively communicate test automation activities and findings in oral and
written formats.
Provide input and insight into integration of the test automation
framework, architecture and test suites into the test management system.
