Job Title : Linux Systems Engineer
Location : Washington, DC
Duration : 6 Months
Need Local Candidates Only
*Required Skills and Experience :*
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information
Systems, Information Technology, and Software Engineering.
- At least 5+ years of experience in the IT Industry
- Experience managing network resources in a web hosting environment
- Experience with Linux Server Administration, including installation,
troubleshooting, monitoring, performance tuning and configuration is
required
- Experience configuring and maintaining web servers such as IIS, Apache
Tomcat and NGINX web servers
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2005 and above) or MySQL server,
including installation, administration, configuration, troubleshooting,
backups and restoration
• Knowledge of modern networks: TCP/IP, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Ethernet
Switching, IDS/IPS security devices, Device monitoring (TCP port, SNMP, WMI
and application monitoring tools), and Security monitoring (familiar with
common techniques).
• Amazon web services administration and automation
• SSL configuration and use expertise
• Mongo / NoSQL database administration
• Scripting languages such as PERL, Python, and bash
• Basic knowledge of Windows 2003 Server and above
