Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience using Datastage, at least some of which must be recent (no more than 18 months old). Expertise in tools similar to Datastage is a plus, but IS NOT an adequate replacement for Datastage experience. Looking to fill a Jr. Developer role whose day-to-day role will be Datastage development, working under the direction of a lead developer. *POSITION OVERVIEW*The Information Delivery Services (IDS) Program will be an integrated reporting data platform that will take data from multiple source systems, load it into an enterprise data warehouse using conformed dimensions, create data marts and rules engines, store the data and have it readily accessible through reporting tools for client interfaces and reports. This will apply to all C&IS business units. This ETL developer position will work closely within multiple project streams to support the program development participating in the full project life cycle. The candidate would have the opportunity to be involved in the design and development of many aspects of the IDS Program utilizing Oracle sql, data warehouse / ETL tools and Unix Scripts. Ideally this candidate will also have previous exposure to business application development as well as recent solid concentration on data warehouses, ETL processing and business intelligence tools. The data warehouse ETL processes will interface with numerous Northern Trust transactional systems to gather information for the warehouse. Experienced both in the specific business domain and the software engineering domain. These candidates are not only technology intensive but also possess experience of the specific business area. Have worked on similar projects and have a proven history of delivering high impact business solutions in the specific business area. Responsible for the technical vision, high-level architecture, design, and implementation of complex systems and applications. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior level business teams to ensure optimal results.
