The Software Engineer will:
• Participate in product development from an engineering
perspective including:
• Development
• Code Review
• Technical Documentation
• Release Management
• Work directly with internal and external customers to resolve
technical issues
• Manage technical and product issues and escalations, delivering
the highest level of customer satisfaction
• Verify bugs and work with development on providing fixes
• Influence product direction based on customer feedback
• Publish knowledge base articles to improve our self-help offering
• Remain current on evolving technologies and standards including
but not limited to .NET framework , SQL Server, LAMP, Greenplum, Aster,
Hadoop, Nginx, Riak, Redis, ExtJS, , HTML DOM, and CSS.
• Strong computer science fundamentals including a deep
understanding of data structures and distributed algorithms
• Able to create elegant, efficient and testable code
*Qualifications:*
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated
experience;
o Highly proficient in C# and .Net platform
o Top notch written and verbal communication skills and comfort
communicating with customers
o Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience;
o Solid working knowledge of a web stack, preferably on Windows
o Highly motivated, creative, self-directed, and thrives in small project
teams
o Previous experience in software development or software consulting and
support
o Experience with full life-cycle development;
o Experience with DHTML, CSS and JavaScript a plus;
o Experience with map reduce frameworks a plus;
o The candidate should be able to work independently or as part of a team
and must have the ability to learn new technologies.
- Working strongly with Agile
- Small group environment
- No real remote but maybe some wfh once a week or so once they are
established
- Both 60% New development and 40% Enhancement
- More on the backend side
