*Unix/Linux Engineer Columbia MD(LOCAL ONLY)6+ Months *
Install, Configure, Administer JBoss application server 5.x on RHEL
platform.
• Deploy Java/J2EE applications, Webservices on JBoss application server.
• Performance Monitoring and Tuning – Adjust App level, OS Level and JVM
settings
• Setup and configure F5 load balancer
• Setup NFS shared drives on RHEL 6
• User Management – Create users, groups on RHEL – Unix Administration
• Unix/Linux Shell or Python scripting
• Experience with installation/configuration of Apache, Tomcat and
Webservers
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical courses in
Linux/UNIX system administration or equivalent work experience.
• Five or more years of experience as Linux/UNIX systems administrator;
Linux (RHEL) with JBoss application server with Web Services experience
preferred.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Three or more years’ experience identifying and resolving technical
problems on the Linux/UNIX Server platforms.
Plusses
Experience with Automation tools like Puppet
• Deployments using Jenkins
• Splunk – Log Analyzer , Heap and Thread dump generation and analysis
Day-2-Day *
Provides system administration of the UNIX/Linux processor platforms.
Installs systems software/hardware products and provides maintenance to all
installed UNIX/Linux processors. Provides backup/restore procedures,
monitors performance and capacity of the processors, and administers
security and data management according to established departmental
procedures.
