They must be able to create and modify tables, write SQL, stored procedures, triggers and indexes. They must be able to work with performance related issues within a project (not on a systems level). a. Model databases based on a logical data structure created in conjunction with our Data Architects b. Create the physical data models c. Create tables, columns, etc. in support of Data Warehouse initiatives, i.e., our new Enterprise Data Model d. Work alongside Java, ETL and BI developers to tune COTS and custom SQL for performance improvements e. Create scripts to resolve data quality issues f. Use AWR reports to help troubleshoot database issues g.
