Curiosity and passion for testing and discovering errors. 2. Analytical and logical thinking skills. Creativity. Out of the box thinker. 3. Ability to adapt and learn quickly. 4. Use all the levels of testing: · Unit Testing · System Testing · Functional Testing · Performance Testing · User Interface Testing · Regression Testing · Security & Access Control Testing · Data Integrity Testing · User Acceptance Testing · Stress Testing · Coding Standards · Volume Testing · Load Testing 5. Ability to automate testing scripts. 6. Test to break attitude to hunt escaped defects during coding. 7. Quality of the code and the test is more important than meeting dates attitude. Report delay to management honestly rather than meet the date and submit minimally tested code with defects. 8. Domain Expert. Understand the intended behavior of the application and what it takes to break it. 9. Identify missing requirements, not only errors. 10. Ability to envision business situations. 11. Programming Skills (best way of writing code) 12. Database skills. Able to write SQL queries and do complex joins. 13. Innovations. Think of every possible scenario that can be tested for. 14. Document test cases clearly and should map it to use cases and business requirements. 15. Able to use different testing methods. 16. Reading and understanding specifications, translating those into structured test cases, reporting bugs and writing clear and concise reports to management. 17. Reliable and accountable for the errors and scenarios that are missed during testing. 18.
