Position: Senior Web Developer
Location: Raleigh, NC
Rate target - DOE
Work onsite in Raleigh and is preferably a local candidate that meets the
following requirements in addition to the attachment. Main skills would
be strong *Software Engineering Analysis skills, .NET, C#, jquery and
scripting. PLUS strong HTML5 skills*. If the person had CSS3, Bootstrap,
Python, PostgreS, ArcGIS that would be nice add-ons, but not necessary.
Required skills and experience for project software engineering position
A requirement is knowledge, skills, and experience as a software
requirements analyst.
This includes knowledge, skills, and experience with the following good
requirements engineering practices:
· Elicitation of requirements
· Management and documentation of requirements
· Development of use cases
· Development of mock-ups of user interfaces
· Analysis of requirements, including
o Development of requirement models,
§ Development of data models and data flow diagrams
o Development of context diagrams,
o Development of data dictionaries
· Specification of requirements, including development of software
requirements specification
· Validation of requirements Microsoft ASP.NET development skills
and experience
· Knowledge, skill, and experience with object-oriented design and
development in the Microsoft .NET environment
· Minimum of three years of Microsoft .NET application software
development experience
o Knowledge, skills, and experience with
§ .NET Forms development
§ .NET Custom Controls development
§ .NET Oracle Client development
o Knowledge, skill, and experience with design and development of
applications using one or both of the following .NET software development
languages: C#, VB.NET.
o Knowledge, skill, and experience with ASP.NET MVC
o Knowledge, skill, and experience with HTML, CSS, VBScript, JavaScript,
and jQuery
o Knowledge, skill, and experience with XML and XML Web Services
o Knowledge, skill, and experience with software development using
Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications with Microsoft PowerPoint and
Microsoft Excel pivot tables and macros
o Knowledge, skill, and experience with version control software like
Microsoft Team Foundation Server
Other information system development skills and experience
· Knowledge, skill, and experience with system and software testing
o Unit testing
o Integration testing
o Support for user acceptance testing
· Skill and experience with timely and effective resolution of
system and software issues encountered during testing
· A requirement is skill and experience with system development
methodologies, good software engineering practices, and good project
management practices.
· Preferred:
o Knowledge, skill, and experience with Project Management Institute’s
Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
o Knowledge, skill, and experience with IEEE Software Engineering
standards.
· Knowledge, skill, and experience with design, development, and
implementation of extranet applications.
