Job Description:
The candidate must have at least 6 8 years of directly related,
demonstrable experience in implementation of industry standard discovery
tools and integrating them with BMC ITSM; The candidate must have
successfully implemented ADDM in multiple customer environments
Skills:
• Customer consulting
• Successful implementation of ADDM
• In ADDM, following knowledge is required
1. Setting Up – Configure the appliance for first use
2. Managing Standard Data – viewing standard data structures and setting
up data specific to customer's organization
3. Users and Security – set up and amend system users, including
creating new users, amending and deleting users and setting up passwords
and security settings
4. Maintaining the Appliance – Set up maintenance mode, take appliance
snapshots, and configure the way the system is monitored and audited
5. Discovery – Set up, run and monitor the discovery process
6. Importing Data – Import data into BMC Atrium Discovery
7. Context-Sensitive Reporting and Linking – Reporting features of BMC
Atrium Discovery, including how to run standard and customized reports
• Knowledge of discovery tools functionality from vendors such as IBM,
BMC, CA and HP.
• Knowledge of integration between ADDM and ITSM
• Install, configure and deploy BMC ITSM 7.x and BMC Atrium CMDB
• General competence in database management and integration is important
• Knowledge of integrating diverse software applications into single
system is highly desirable
• Written and verbal communication skills are very important
