*Sr Tableau Data Analyst (stable company near San Jose CA)* *Long term contract – need local consultant * Our client is looking to fill a Data Analyst Position. The ideal candidate would have strong math and logic skills, critical thinking, effective written and oral communications skills; passionate about Open Data and data story telling; ability to provide excellent customer service. *Essential duties* 1. Perform weekly and monthly data dumps from various data sources to feed IT KPIs and Metrics. 2. Manage the Tableau Dashboard, ensuring all KPI's are being updated correctly. 3. Run monthly KPI meetings. 4. Keep Open Data Portal up-to-date using Junar. 5. Enter any new open data requests from various departments. 6. Occasionally assist with Records Requests. *Required skills & knowledge* 1. Good experience with all aspects of data analysis including acquisition, inspection, cleansing, transformation, modeling, visualization, and documentation of data and presentation of results. 2. Experience with using Junar a plus. 3. Experience using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Online. 4. SharePoint experience for weekly data transfers into Excel into Tableau dashboards 5. Some very light VB scripting 6. Will meet with each manager individually to talk about their piece of the dashboard 7. Advanced knowledge of charts, graphs, pivot tables, formulas, and functions using MS Excel. 8.
