Troubleshoot, debug, provide recommendations and execute solutions. Test and troubleshoot to ensure quality of applications. Modify code and test new and enhanced systems and programs from general requirements. May create and maintain automatic test scripts. May provide time estimates for development work. Production support, Analysis and reporting for legacy suite of Cobol/DB2 iSeries applications At least 5 years minimum on the IBM i with COBOL (RPG is not required but a plus) Some knowledge of insurance applications (policy, billing) is ideal Provide development, Quality Assurance (QA), Documentation and assist in support of legacy systems Strong knowledge of SQL XML exposure and/or knowledge is a plus Participate in the design, creation, and support of new application software Prepare specifications for new programs and changes to existing programs Knowledge of PDM, SEU, SDA, interactive debugger Work with team members to prepare user/technical documentation strong written and verbal communication skills - - Understanding and ability to analysis and document existing systems in support of legacy systems migration *Generic Managerial/Soft Skills* *: * - Need good communication and analytic skills .should be able to work/lead a small size team.
