• 3 years CMDB and Discovery Tools administration experience
required.
• 2 years Linux system administration experience required.
• 2 years Windows Server system administration experience required.
• 2 years development experience is required.
• 1 year experience supporting Microsoft .net applications
(utilizing VB.net, C#, XML/SOAP, web services) required.
*Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *
• Proficiency with HP UCMDB and Universal Discovery.
• Proficiency with HP enterprise monitoring tools (NNMI, OMI, BPM,
BSM, SiteScope, SHR).
• ITIL v3 Service Asset and Configuration Management practitioner
certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with HP Service
Manager.
*DESCRIPTION*:
· Design, improve, and support the configuration management
database (CMDB) and associated automated discovery tools.
· Provide technical administration, configuration, and integration
support and ancillary development for enterprise systems and services,
focusing on customer satisfaction, service level attainment, problem
solving, and continual service improvement.
· Provide subject matter expertise in the execution of projects and
initiatives to ensure on-time delivery, within budget; while meeting
business requirements.
· Collaborate with other IT departments to ensure interoperability
of services across the enterprise.
*Description *
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Design, improve, and support the configuration management database
(CMDB) and associated automated discovery tools.
• Design, implement, and support CMDB integrations across designated
applications.
• Collaborate with IT departments to ensure accuracy of discovered
infrastructure inventory.
• Defines and implements CMDB reporting strategies in support of IT
service management processes (incident, problem, and change management).
• Provide subject matter expertise guidance to projects and
initiatives for configuration related topics.
• Coordinate development activities for assignment to teams of 1-5
developers.
• Develop system requirement specifications for medium to large
program segments.
• Develop technical design documents.
• Code applications, databases, interface programs.
• Configure software packages.
• Conduct peer reviews (i.e. unit tests).
• Create unit test cases.
• Document code (i.e. comments).
• Document system functionality.
• Troubleshoot and update code to address defects and enhancements.
• Ensures the consistency and quality of 3rd party developed
software and services.
• Verify work estimates
• Perform 7x24 on-call support for applications and services on a
scheduled rotation.
• Ensures issues are tracked, reported on, and resolved timely
• Tracks, monitors, and reports progress of defect resolution.
• Assists in complex problem analysis.
