Five years of experience administering UNIX systems
A minimum of one year of experience supporting Linux systems including
installation and configuration
Experience utilizing multiple common shells and multiple environments Good
working knowledge of DNS, NFS and Samba
General shell scripting knowledge
Experience with backup solutions and strategies for UNIX systems
Strong communication abilities and well-developed customer interaction
skills
Ability to propose and create IT solutions based on a given set of
requirements
Must possess highly-developed troubleshooting skills
Ability to estimate work effort to achieve a set of objectives
*Preferred *
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar
Experience with Oracle Solaris 10 and/or Linux systems
Knowledge of the unique needs of a healthcare environment
Experience in utilizing SAN storage
