Our client is need of Software Project Manager for a contract Project in San Jose, California Please let me know if you are comfortable with the requirement below. *Position: Software Project Manager* *Location: San Jose, California* *Duration: 6+ months * *Job Duties:* · Lead, coordinate and track software development projects for the Superfast product line reporting directly to the Director of Software Engineering. · Provide strong interface between corporate product development group in San Jose, product specific development group in Singapore, outside contract resources, and customer-facing organizations world-wide to ensure strong alignment on deliverables, schedules and customer expectations. · Acquire system-level knowledge of the hardware and software of the Superfast products in order to effectively lead software development projects, to translate market requirements into software requirements, and to offer guidelines and feedback on software implementation details. · Create and present technical design reviews. · Plan and coordinate field upgrades of new software releases to ensure successful installations. · Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies to management. *Experience/Education Required:* · BS or MS in CS or technical discipline or equivalent experience in SW Engineering. · 5 years experience in SW Engineering field, applied to a high industry. 3 years experience in coordinating or managing s/w projects that entail a GUI, DB, file management and LAN. · Demonstrated initiative to work successfully in a cross-functional environment. · Experience in an R & D environment and will have taken development projects from requirements generation through development to customer delivery and acceptance. · Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. · Demonstrated proficiency in SW designs, MS Visual Studio, Matlab, .net, C++, C#, XML, Matlab, DBMS. · Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
