*QlikView Data Modeler*
A QlikView Data Modeler should be a professional with extensive experience
in design, development and deployment of analytical business solutions
using QlikView as the BI platform.
In this role, the Modeler will develop and support developers in creating
model/schema, developing complex reports & dashboards.
*Location*: Farmington, CT
*Visa or Citizenship*: Expat
*Term:* Long Term (> 6 months)
*REQUIREMENTS: *
· Should possess good knowledge on DW/BI concepts (End-to-End: ETL,
DW & Reporting)
· 7+ years of experience in DW/BI related technologies and tools.
· Experience in ETL tools like Informatica
· Experience in creating data models (logical, physical)
· Experience in QlikView Tool in Designing, QlikView Data Modelling
and database components to support Business Intelligence dashboards and
reporting.
· 3+ years of experience working in QlikView reports, models and
Dashboards. QlikView expertise includes schema/model creation, complex
reports and creating complex dashboards.
· Expertise in identifying inefficient processes and tuning
opportunities, working with developers to tune processes.
· Should possess User Interface design & analytical skills.
· Should be able to provide Expert Analysis and Technical Problem
solving skills (Troubleshooting/debugging).
· Ability to work independently and guide/mentor to other team
members.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong commitment to high quality work.
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
- Gather, understand & document Business requirements.
- Work closely with project Business Analyst, ETL leads and QlikView
Developers to ensure that the end to end designs meet the business and data
requirements
- Responsible for the QlikView Dashboard & Report development, which
includes QlikView dashboard design /QlikView Script writing - connecting
with varied sources (flat file/Oracle/ Workday etc), data cleansing, data
analysis etc.
- Ability to debug any existing QlikView dashboard currently in
Production
- Handle QlikView Server maintenance (Publisher/Access Point)
- Develop Technical specifications based on functional specifications
from business leads
- Lead QlikView Unit and Integration Testing activities and assist in
User Acceptance Testing as needed
- Resolve technical queries raised by the Developers and solve complex
technical issues that arise in Production environment
- Should be able to optimize data model for performance improvement
- Enforce applicable standards, policies, procedures, and best practices
in the implementation and/or maintenance of QlikView components
