*Role: Release Manager* *Location: San Francisco, CA*
*Start: Immediate* Core JD Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. May develop systems test plan components and test scripts. May act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies. May provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff. Min Qualifications: Manages Enterprise and Maintenance Releases for assigned Applications, insuring project delivery, SDLC compliance, signoffs from clients and QA groups and implementation readiness. Creates Application release milestone and governance dates within the Enterprise Release Calendar. Manages code unfreeze and build/deployment requests for testing environments. Provides Senior Management with Release Readiness reports indicating internal and external project statuses. Create change records and ensure all approvals are met prior to migrating changes to production. Responsible for working with clients, systems and QA to implement fixes for post install defects and issues. Provides leadership and facilitation of post install reviews to determine process improvements within the development, QA, configuration management, deployment and client areas. Implements and recommends process improvements in project implementation, change controls, project estimates and software development lifecycle delivery. Preffered: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in Release Management or equivalent role. Essential skills include excellent communication skills, critical thinking for risk assessment and the ability to effectively collaborate with and provide leadership to a large cross-functional team and partners.
