Designing the future of the platform which is more experimental and rapid prototyping.* *UI Test Required *Role Summary:* Work on highly complex projects that require an in-depth knowledge across two or more specialized industrial internet domains. Work on multiple projects/products in a self-directed manner as an individual contributor and internal consultant. *Responsibilities:* *Develop web apps using existing RESTful web services Rapid prototyping with high code quality standards Collaborate closely with Software Architects, Developers, and User Experience Designers* *In this role, you will:* - Work with architects, information professionals and technical product manager to groom the UI backlog. - Identify & brainstorm usability enhancements and user experience designs with UX & interaction designer engineers. - Evaluate and recommend new and emerging user interface products and technologies. - Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding. - Demonstrate the understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and able to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle. - Develop/write code along with the team (pair programming) to build the user interface. - Work with the team to come up with build & deployment pipeline for the services/applications. *Qualifications/Requirements:* - *Strong coder with design thinking skills * - *Strong understanding of Lean/Agile methodologies * - *Proven collaborator with great communication skills * - *Flexibility to leverage Predix UI elements (Polymer) * - *Researcher/evaluator of emerging technology, industry, and market trends * - *Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Polymer, JSON, LESS, Sass, JQuery, Angular and hands-on experience with some back-end technology: eg. Node, Java, PHP, Ruby.* - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) - A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development OR Master’s degree with 1 year of professional experience. - Be an expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and has the ability to implement them using language of choice. *Eligibility Requirements:* Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA *Desired Characteristics: Technical Expertise:* - Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, CSS.
