· *5-**7 years of experience in IT industry with specialized skills
in MS SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Integration Services, C# .NET
Programming Language*
· Analyze, design, build and support current and new data feeds
from MS database to the business intelligence warehouse.
· Design and code ETL processes to enable initial load and
incremental processing, error and exception handling, restart ability and
recovery, data cleansing, validation and monitoring.
· Experienced in creating packages using various tools (*SS**IS
specifically*) with C# scripting language for transferred data modification
s.
· Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Computer Science/Engineering or
related field)
· Excellent communication skills
*Plusses:*
· Knowledge of 1010 data analytics and Aptos Retail suite
· Retail experience
*Day-to-Day Responsibilities:*
· The primary role of the ETL Business Intelligence Developer is to
assist in the development and implementation of the Enterprise Business
Intelligence for The VitaminShoppe. The ETL Business Intelligence Developer
will be a member of the Enterprise Business Intelligence team. He/She will
work closely with the other members of the team to design and build data
transformation packages and processes that will insert data in the business
intelligence structures to facilitate ease and expedience in reporting and
analysis. They will need to be proficient in developing windows
application using C# .Net programming language and connecting it to
different data sources such as MS SQL, MS Access, and MS Excel etc.
Additionally, this role will consist of creating SSRS templates and should
be able to understand the report level and database level data manipulation
to improve reports. He/she will also closely work with the Report Analysts,
SQL Server DBA, Business System Analysts and Project Managers.
