*Position:SENIOR SAP PI/PO CONSULTANT* *Location:Hunt valley MD* *Duration:2+ months*
Preferred local to MD with CPG background.(Customer Packaging goods) JD: Working in a global environment, this position is responsible for implementing business driven EDI and B2B integrations through research, analysis, design, implementation and testing. The position is also serves as the technical expert in all EDI and general SAP integration areas. The candidate must support all phases of the internal project life cycle including design, development, testing, training and documentation. Candidate will be responsible for the development, enhancements, troubleshooting, fixes, and ongoing maintenance of all EDI and B2B integrations to the SAP applications. Applications in the environment include core SAP ERP applications including SAP ECC version 6.0 with modules FI, CO, SD, MM, GTS, NetWeaver PI (PO) with Seeburger, SAP BW (HANA) and BI/BOBJ, Portal and Solution Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES As part of the McCormick IT Effectiveness Application Development Team, the Developer is responsible for: o Responsible for development and ongoing maintenance/enhancements of all EDI business processes and systems. Common EDI transactions include Orders, Order Acknowledgement /Change, and Invoices, Advance Shipment Notifications. o Ability to analyze business requirements, review existing systems, define the solution, and translate that into detailed programming designs. o Our current EDI standards are X12, VICS, UCC, EDIFACT, TRADACOMM, and EANCOM o Should have extensive experience with SAP IDOC processing o Should be familiar with different encoding requirements depending partners requirements (UNICODE, ASCII, ie…..) o Take the lead in managing EDI and other B2B implementation projects with new customers and suppliers. Lead initial discussion, requirements definition, design processes, as well as actual development of the solution. o Will take functional designs and translate them into technical specifications to perform the development of efficient and accurate code. o On-going effective communication with internal and external customers possessing various levels of technical knowledge. Will determine the underlying issue when presented with sometimes confusing and/or contradictory information; demonstrate good listening skills. o Plan, schedule and track project timelines and deliverables. Ability to report status to project stakeholders and/or management on a regular basis. o Ability to quickly solve/determine problems working with technical and/or non- technical groups in areas that may not be primary area of expertise. o Support Global Enterprise with any SAP EDI and/or PI related issues. o Develop, and adherence to standards and procedures o Cross train other associates where and when appropriate to ensure proper support coverage Experience & Skill Requirements Preferred: o Ability to read and follow ABAP code is considered a desirable skill. o Good understanding of business process flows in SD, MM and FI areas, including master data setup, and standard SAP order to cash processes in a distribution environment. o Seeburger development and support of the Seeburger EDI mapping desired but not required. o SAP PI/PO Development Certification Preferred Required: o A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience. Minimum 6 years hands on EDI and SAP PI development configuration and troubleshooting, Experience with at least 2 full life cycle SAP PI implementations. o Extensive experience designing and developing interfaces using SAP PI/PO, including mapping in JAVA and IDOC processing. o Experience in integrating PI with SAP Application systems using ABAP proxies, IDOCs, RFCs, SOAP web services, REST web services o Expert development of end-to- end PI integrations using Integration Builder and Integration Directory. Development of Message types, Message interfaces, Message mapping and Interface mappings in Integration Builder.
