hi
while working on a trigger a ran into an occasion where i had to put a
begin/end combination around a one line-statement in an if clause like so:
if <int> > <other int> then begin
set <statement>
end else
set <other statement>
and seems very odd to me... i've only encountered this once thus far, but
i've also had problems understanding exactly when one must use a semicolon
';' and when not. once i had to remove a semicolon at the end of a statement
before a TRY statement (never had to do that before)... i you would like i
could send you the trigger as is.
i hope you can be more specific about the syntax and grammar of a trigger
then the documentation. maybe a few examples.
thanx in advance,
John Holland
