Hi Sean,

-9000 ... nice one.

http://www.sapdb.org/7.4/pdf/messages_74eng.pdf says:

"-9000: SYSTEM ERROR: NOT YET IMPLEMENTED
Explanation:
This SQL statement is not yet implemented. It will be available in future releases.

User Action:
To achieve the desired effect try one or more other SQL statements."

Sorry, couldn't resist for the complete quote.

How about sending the files knldiag, dbm.utl, dbm.prt, dbm.knl to this list.

Best Regards,
Tilo Heinrich

Subject: Restore problems

Hi!

I've read various messages on the list about restoring
databases - I've followed all the directions about
clearing logs by reinstating database instances, etc.
but to no avail.

I have a database backup taken from one machine which
I want to restore onto a second machine for testing.
The restore process works until I try and bring the
restored database online - I keep getting the
following message:
"-24988 sql error [db_warm -f]; -9000,Message not
available"

Can anyone throw any light on what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,

Sean.
