Personally I wouldn't pay a dime as none of the software I make is distributed, but it's still an annoying change.
just dont rename the product.
I can only agree with this, look at the Borland/Imprise business, they had a major name which demanded great respect but suddenly they decided to throw it all away, something they later had to undo.
Having the database called SAPDB is much better from a marketing standpoint than having to tell people that "oh we use mysql with sapdb extentions, but it's really not a piece of crap like every other mysql product, really."
mysql is the microsoft of the database world they make cheap, but braindead products, but most people only need more than that so they have a large marketshare.
My Conclusion: Having anything to do with mysql is a bad thing, changing the license is a horrible thing and changing the name is even worse.
