I have installed SAP V7.4.3.10 on Win2000. I have eventually managed to get it up and running, having created tables and loaded a whole series of text files that have been dumped out of Oracle. I can now query the db via both SQL Studio and Borlands SQL Explorer, "select * from test_table" returns values.
I now have a CAD system that wants to talk back to the db via ODBC so that entitites in the CAD drawings can be linked to db rows. Now for some reason, I can't seem to query the db through the CAD system via the ODBC interface. I know that I am grasping at straws here and that it is probably the CAD systems fault, but does anyone know a SAP reason why I can even create a table from the CAD system, through ODBC, but then not query the same table? It seems to be that "create...." and "drop....." gets through but "select...." does not. Any SAP related ideas?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts,
