A page is currently 8KB. You can determine a good value only by considering your security needs and log amount. In case of a crash, log information is only lost, if the log volume is damaged too. In this case and only in this case you lose the log entries not jet backed up by auto save log. But that dilemma can not be solved with log backups, as a point after a log backup is a point before a log backup.
