I'm interested in the E-Catalog type of database instances. Unfortunately, all I could find in the docs is a) that it exists b) indexing/searching is implemented using the TREX engine c) INSTANCE_TYPE must be EMERGE in instance creation.
The TREX engine is not part of the Open Source release, so this whole instance type isn't really useful outside of certain SAP applications
