I've just started looking at Satchmo for potential use on a website for an
organization that runs sports leagues. Although there may be some physical
products that may be made available for sale (t-shirts, sporting equipment,
etc.), the main "product" that they will need to sell are registrations for
their leagues. Event registrations such as this would likely be similar to
other types of event registrations, such as conference registrations or
classes.

Reading through the products documentation[1], I'm a little unsure how such
an item would be represented in satchmo for sale. The registrations would
not be subject to anything related to shipping (i.e. if you're just
registering for the league, billing details are collected, but no shipping
address), nothing is downloadable after the purchase (so no custm links
generated), and there's no recurring billing involved. I suppose it seems
closest *in concept* to a one-time, non-recurring subscription, but where
"access" is granted in-person instead of online and many of the other
subscription-related fields aren't applicable.

Admittedly, I haven't dug too much into things yet. Is satchmo already
setup for products such as this and I just didn't see it on my first pass
through the documentation? Or, if customization/development will be
required, what would be the expected level of effort for someone brand new
to satchmo? Just trying to get my bearings. We're still a ways off before
we get to implementation.

Thanks!

Regards,
Michael
