Hello,

I'm a webstore spouse and trying to install Satchmo on our test server
to see if we would want to convert to using Satchmo. I think I
succeeded in installing "easy_install", but then after typing:

easy_install pycrypto

...I see this:

Searching for pycrypto
Reading http://pypi.python.org/simple/pycrypto/
Reading http://pycrypto.sourceforge.net
Reading http://www.amk.ca/python/code/crypto
Best match: pycrypto 2.0.1
Downloading http://www.amk.ca/files/python/crypto/pycrypto-2.0.1.tar.gz
Processing pycrypto-2.0.1.tar.gz
Running pycrypto-2.0.1/setup.py -q bdist_egg --dist-dir /tmp/
easy_install-SzRTN_/pycrypto-2.0.1/egg-dist-tmp-v_IZs1
unable to execute gcc: No such file or directory
error: Setup script exited with error: command 'gcc' failed with exit
status 1

Is this a problem others have encountered? I'm using Ubuntu and
python 2.6. I have installed and played with Django 1.1 for other
purposes, but haven't used easy_install before. Do I have to be in a
particular directory when using it? Or does this error mean more to
somebody else than it does to me?
