Good point. As far as django-registration goes, I believe that the development version has resolved the deprecation warning. There are some big api changes between the current released version and hg tip so once django-registration is released, we'll modify Satchmo to use it. It will take some work but hopefully not too terribly painful. I believe this will take care of that specific issue.
The sorl thumbnail issue is a bit more challenging. Right now sorl-thumbnail works so I'm not terribly excited to change but having an unsupported app is no fun either. I think there are a couple of options. 1. Leave as is. Keep using sorl and fork it if there are major bugs 2. Fork sorl or offer to take over maintenance of it. 3. Move to easy-thumbnail or aino-convert 4. Eval another option It looks like easy-thumbnail would be my preference but I'd want to wait and see a bit. Aino-convert is going to force more dependencies so I'm not in favor of using that. I'm open to other ideas but my thoughts are that we use sorl for now and evaluate easy-thumbnail in a few months to see if it truly is bringing something new to the table. -Chris 2010/5/3 Matías Iturburu <[email protected]> > Hello list.
