I tried adding a few patches for satchmo to get google checkout a little
more robust, but as far as I know, they weren't accepted.

I struggled quite a bit with the implementation, but did eventually get it
working once I used my patch, but I don't think mine helped out at all with
what you're talking about.

All in all, I think if you kind of figure out what you need, it probably
wouldn't be that hard to get it working in satchmo.
