This isn't Satchmo-specific, but do make sure you're not accidentally running in debug mode (ie. with DEBUG=True in your settings). When you do, Django keeps track of all queries that have run (to aid debugging), and this will eventually consume all your memory for long-running jobs, or jobs that issue large numbers of queries.
