No changes with the ssl python package install so far.

I'm getting a lot of "Credit card number is required" problems on
authorize.net orders.
Users are entering the correct card information but they are not able to
go beyond the card info page.
Does anyone have this problem? This happens often but not every time.
We are also having some problems with Pypal IPN
We got an email from paypal with this message.
"Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment
Notification (IPN) messages. Messages sent to the following URL(s) are
not being received:"
Paypal collected $$ from one costumer but satchmo didn't have any record
for the order.
The IPN URL is correct and it used to work.
ssl was missing and I was getting "ssl is not installed, please install
it from http://pypi.python.org/pypi/ssl/";
I just successfully installed it today. Could this be the source of the
problem?
I'm using
* satchmo dev, 5 months old commit 2017a69a9617f962 (maybe this is the
problem?)
* django version 1.2.3
* python 2.5
* webfaction
