I have a shop that needs to have a gift certificate added manually to it (i.e. not by a customer purchasing it through the site). Is it sufficient to go into the admin and add a gift certificate, making up my own code? If so which fields would be absolutely required to not break anything and allow the certificate to work normally on the site? I'm thinking site, certificate code, date added, valid and starting balance.
