I'd need to do something like this:
Customer buys stuff (usually lots, because this is for wholesale customer types)
Customer clicks checkout
Customer confirms his order
Customer gets a sign saying something like "your order will be
processed shortly and we will contact you with the final amount"
Store admin prepares the order and processes shipping stuff. Figures
out final shipping cost.
Customer gets an email with the final cost, and a link to enter payment data.
Customer confirms.
Payment.
Any tips on how to start setting this up? Do you think I will need to
create a new payment method, or will some hooks suffice?
