So, I'm probably comletely behind the curve on this, but over the last few weeks I've been watching video podcasts on the tivo. A couple of them are actually fairly good, and it strikes me that this is exactly the sort of thing that Saturday House should be doing.
One of the ones I've been watching is Hak5, put together by HakHouse. Essentially they're a geek collective that puts together a weekly program about their computer projects. Another one is Systm, which is more of a how-to maker show. It's pretty cool stuff, and although I haven't been very involved in SH lately, I think it would be a really neat thing to put together. There are lots of people involved with SH doing cool stuff, and it would be a great opportunity to showcase them. I have some experience with putting together programs. A couple of years ago I worked for about a year on the video crew for a Seattle Cable Access show. About a year ago I toyed with the idea of putting together a program showcasing different maker communities in the Seattle area, but didn't pursue it because I ran out of time. I think between us we have the technical knowhow, the equipment (it's amazing what can be done with prosumer handycams these days), and a broad array of subjects to cover. Are there folks interested in puttig something together? -mike --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Website: http://saturdayhouse.org/ Post: [email protected] Unsubscribe: [email protected] -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
