Sleepless night, something I ate didn't agree with me. So while browsing the net and IRC, someone led me to reactivision...
http://reactivision.sourceforge.net/ It's a tracking library for fiduciary symbols, most famously used in the ReacTable music synthesizer. Now, I am a bit of a miniatures wargame nut, and I've been teaching myself JavaFX. And it struck me, I could use this to build a 'augmented' table. When units take damge, they smoke, you can track movement, you can do all sorts of things. Problem is, I am poor right now, between jobs ( job leads appreciated! ). I know Giraffe Labs does have a projector present, and with some birthday money, I can buy a webcam. I can even bring along tracing paper and acrylic sheet if we want to try a table setup. What I figured might be fun is to set up the projector to throw light against a wall, and as people get something working, using it to demo things. The rest of us can set up some markers on the wall, set up our cameras, and hack away. When we have something to show, takeover the projector pointing at the markers, and overlay on top. If anyone has a better DLP to bring, the more the merrier I think. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Website: http://saturdayhouse.org/ Post: [email protected] Unsubscribe: [email protected] -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
