>>>>These hi-volt NSTs came from a junk collection of some local 1990s Tesla
Coilers: Don Graham, Doug Hall, and Bob Swift. I bought the pile for
$100 thinking maybe we should have a "geek flea market" and get some
stuff
back out into the community. In Boston I used to go to the yearly MIT
flea. Here we have the flea markets for ham radio in March, and
antique
radio in August, but nothing for selling cool old geek equipment in
Seattle.

I know it's not exactly the same but the Seattle Steamrats (local
Steampunks) sponsored a Steampunk Swapmeet a couple of months ago and
it was quite a success. People sold all manner of new/used/vintage/
junk clothing/googles/jewelry/gears/rayguns and other ephemera. We'll
be doing another on Sept 26th and I believe there's already a waiting
list but if anyone is interested in selling drop me a line and I'll
put you in touch with the organizer. Those interested in buying should
come on down! (or come on up I guess...it's on Capital Hill.) And
don't forget Steamcon is the next month - Oct 23rd to the 25th -

I think the idea of the chain geekbox is way cool and will post to the
Steamrats - maybe we can get one going that's full of steamgeekery!
