Well, I'll rephrase:
I think that all notifications for a given item was shown in the CC list.
When someone post a comment to an item, I think he should be added in the Cc
list, instead of having Savane that fetch addresses of every person that
posted a comment whenever it send an update.
That way, people would know better the CC list; that way, people would be
able to remove themselves from the notifications of an item.
Apart from group-wide notifications, they should all appear there.
So if the Originator email is simply added in CC and made empty (or fill by
"see CC list"), there would be no debate about scrambling originator email.
Because, in factm the way originator email is used is to force submitter to
add a CC.
Do you see what I mean?
(for the other question: I still think Savane should provide a mail interface
but there's no question for me that the primary interface is the web frontend
- sorry if I was unclear about that)
