Follow-up Comment #1, task #580 (project savane):
As a matter of act, I cannot envision this thing to actually update fields
without requiring some in depth implementation (permissions checks and
whatever).
Of course, if we write a mail interface, the backend will have to know that
anyway.
But for now, we could in fact simply have a commitinfo script that would only
add a comment in relevant item (not triggering notification, however).
