Hi, I'm one of the GNU Savannah administrators, where we use Mailman, and I am also a developer of the SourceForge-like piece of software we use - Savane, that offers bindings to Mailman.
I recently spotted an issue with EOL conversion in Mailman and I posted a bug report at: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1151439&group_id=103&atid=100103 which went unreplied. The Savane bug report counterpart is at: https://gna.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=1980 The way Savane sends mail, properly or not, impacts on this bug; I would like to clean up that code as soon as possible for the next Savane release, so I subscribed to the list to have the developers points on the issue. -- Sylvain On Thu, Mar 17, 2005 at 02:03:14PM +0100, Brad Knowles wrote: > [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > > Your authorization is required for a mailing list subscription request > > approval: > > > > For: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > List: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > At your convenience, visit: > > > > http://mail.python.org/mailman/admindb/mailman-developers > > > > to process the request. > > Hello, > > We have set the mailman-developers list to require list admin approval > for membership requests because of a recent problem with some people > subscribing to this list and then posting messages that belong > elsewhere (often on mailman-users instead). > > Please share with us your background with mailman and your purpose for > subscribing to the developers list so we can approve your membership > request. Thanks!
