Michael
I've had some success in getting the crontabs working in Mac OS X,
however, due to a "glitch" in sv_users, I lost my entire home folder,
and I hadn't backed up since I got my new laptop. Anyway, I think I can
get sv_users running correctly as soon as I resolve why GetUserHome()
isn't returning my home folder (which also appears to be why the rm
statement right under it wiped out roughly three to four years worth of
stuff). I'm not a real perl developer so any help would be appreciated.
The other problem on Mac OS X I noted is that sv_users reads the info
it needs from the /etc files, so I rigged up another script
(sv_ni_dump), which tell NetInfo to spit out everything it knows in
standard formats. Flat-files are not normally used, so /etc/passwd, and
/etc/group can safely be overridden with practically anything. The
other problem is that Darwin uses 8 password fields instead of 7, so
that was another change I had to make.
