Hello,
The changes I mention are mainly made to savannah.[non]gnu.org, not the
Savannah software.
People still work on Savannah code, especially on the next version
called Savane.
Check https://gna.org/projects/savane/ and [email protected] for more
information.

Hi
Sorry to email you out of the blue, but I noticed you posted a news
item to savannah.gnu.org regarding the status of the Savannah
codebase. I'm wondering if you can offer me some advice, as I am not
currently familiar with the code.
I'm setting up an install of Savannah as part of an open source
project hosting service. Initial experimentation with the latest CVS
checkout gave mixed results - the install went fine and the website
looks great, but simple things like being able to add/modify project
groups seemed to be unsuccessful (they were always created with the
unchangeable name "New Type", for example)
I notice you've temporarily suspended some services on savannah.gnu.
org while "some post-crack works on Savannah are completed, mainly
adapting the system to the new secure architecture". This has
suggested to me that I should delay deployment of the service until
this work is complete.
In your opinion, is current Savannah CVS in a useable state and
perhaps my problems may be attributed to some other cause? Or is the
codebase currently undergoing a transformation ("to the new secure
architecture") that would leave it broken until this has completed?
Thanks for your time. :)
