Yes but that a separate issue. Let's close that bug report.

Basically, good pratice of bugs reporting is to report each bug in a separate
item, even if there are tight links.

For instance, having the $type kept in the links wherever appropriate is a bug
that must be fixed for the 1.0.1.

Having the possibility to select a group type is something that could be added,
but it is not a must-be-fixed before the next release. You get my point?

Submitted by: Sylvain Beucler

Category: Web Frontend
Severity: 1 - Trivial
Priority: C - Normal
Resolution: Fixed
Assigned to: toddy
Status: Closed
Release: 1.0.0
Planned Release: 1.0.1

Summary: Search by project type

Original Submission: Savannah and Savane lack a way to search for project
types:

"If you go to the front page on Savannah (e.g. by logging in and then clicking
the floating Gnu) and then click on the "all GNU projects" link, the first page
of results only lists GNU projects. However, if you then click on the link
which is intended to list the next page of results, the list that is returned
also includes non-GNU prokects. I notice that "&type=1" is missing from the
relevant URL."

It is enough, that already works. The problem I meant was that the user has no
possibility of restricting the search by himself, other than the link on the
start page. I now added a selectbox, which allows to restrict the search.

Can you give an example where the type setting is not enough. As the $type is
supposed to direct restrict the SQL command, it must be enough.

I reopened the bug, because I just noticed that the missing "type"-parameter is
only part of this problem. Savane still lacks the functionality to restrict the
search to a project type.

I'll have a look into this.

Just a test to check the "PHP Warnings when commenting a support request" bug
(https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/index.php?func=detailitem&item_id=7717)
