Follow-up Comment #1, sr #723 (project savane):

Additional note: The savane-doc PDF does briefly explain what cvssh is, but
it would be helpful is users were told where to get it. It took me quite
some time to find a *n*x version of this (the commonly available one that is
the subject of most Google hits on the topic appears to be Windows software
written in Python, and isn't a unix shell, but some kind of interface to CVS
pserver). Same goes for one I found described as:
**********
About: ccvssh is an external program called by cvs (via the :ext: method)
which connects to remote CVS pservers through SSL tunnels. It is a
reimplementation of cvssh in C, and is fast and easy to use.
**********

I did finally find one, in a small collection called "Shells" available
here:
http://www.excessus.demon.co.uk/misc-hacks/
But it doesn't seem to work right - when I attempt to use it, it just says:
**********
To use the CVS server, set your `CVSROOT' environment variable to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]', and use the `cvs checkout'
and `cvs update'
commands. See the manual for more information on how to use CVS.
**********
and then I'm back in my regular shell.

If you're aware of one that does work out-of-the-box and where to get it,
please let us know! Or better yet, if it is GPL, just include it in the
Savane distribution.

The savane-doc is further confusing in that it suggests that people should
use a shell called `sv_membersh` but there is no indication what
`sv_membersh` is and does, what its limitations are, etc.
