Follow-up Comment #1:
For the processor, it is fine. For the RAM, it may be best to add some more.
Most stuff like apache are more efficient with more RAM, like 1 GB or 2 GB.
With such setup, you should be able to run a platform with 5000 regular users
and 500 projects at least, probably much more.
It depends on how active users are and it depends also if you add services
like SVN or CVS on the same box or another one.
