We need a Savane branch for Savannah-specific changes, for example the GPLv2->GPLv3 upgrade feature (we could make a generic framework for license upgrades but that's a lot of work for something we needed once and quickly).
The branch is a Git branch stored in the adminstration.git repository, under the 'savannah' branch name.
