Hi, Are the maintainers contacts confidential information? If not, we could simplify the maintenance by just updating http://dl.sv.gnu.org/releases/00_MIRRORS.html accordingly.
If the information is deemed private we need to setup some private place to store it in. Another point: given that the files can be deleted/moved/etc., using 'rsync -a' is not enough, mirrors need to use 'rsync -a --delete' at least, and I'd prefer 'rsync -aHS --delete-excluded'. For example those files moved to the 'savane-cleanup' project and should be deleted: http://ftp.cc.uoc.gr/mirrors/nongnu.org/administration/test-install/ -- Sylvain On Mon, Jul 02, 2007 at 01:28:13PM -0500, Karl Berry wrote: > Sylvain, how do you wish to maintain the list of nongnu mirrors? > Do you want to do it on savannah, or shall we set up a parallel process > to the ftp mirrors for the webmasters to do? > > A fellow in Greece(*) told us he had set this up; > http://ftp.cc.uoc.gr/mirrors/nongnu.org/ > ftp://ftp.cc.uoc.gr/mirrors/nongnu.org/ > > Happily, as far as I can tell it is staying up-to-date. > > Thanks, > Karl > > > (*) Namely: > Kapetanakis Giannis > University of Crete / Computer Center > mirror <at> cc uoc gr
