Details:
I have a script which I just wrote to recover the change history from the
commit email messages.
It should work if
1 There were no commits on branches
2 No deleted files share names with other files in the repository
3 No email messages were truncated
The code is very experimental, but I've used it to recover one of my
projects, with about 86 changes since the last working backup, though a small
amount of manual tweaking was required afterwards.
