The Savannah ticket web interface tells me that the limit for attachment size
is 4.0MiB after escaping, or similar.

I tried to attach a PDF of 1.7MB in size in a reply to an existing ticket, and
got some kind of HTTP error screen "Request Entity Too Large".

I also couldn't un-attach the objectionable file, so had to copy-and-paste my
entire comment text to a new browser tab open to the same ticket.

I guess this is a couple of different issues.

1a.  The preview attachment size limit could be synchronized with the "real"
one; or
1b.  The user could be warned that a lower attachment size limit applies to
previews (and what that limit is).

2.  It should be possible to discard an attachment of which one has come to
repent while preparing a reply to an existing ticket.
